most thanksgivings i'm left comatose, with all the food i consumed holding me down like an anchor for the rest of the evening. i guess my metabolism shifted into super high gear this year, cause i managed to pull myself from the depths of my turkey induced haze and go out for a little thanksgiving night celebration. as for my celebratory outfit choice, i love toughening up sweet little vintage dresses with lots of leather, as demonstrated below. and the shoes, ohhhh the shoes. i knew you'd ask. i usually don't do blatant knockoffs, but just this ONCE i couldn't resist. these are from charlotte russe, can you believe that shit?!?! in my opinion, their version of the miu miu glitter bootie rip-off is way more aesthetically pleasing than the topshop and steve madden versions! i'll make it up to you someday, miuccia!

hot and cold

mother nature is being indecisive as hell when it comes to florida, per the usual. one day it's hot, the next it's cold, (and now i'm going to have that god forsaken katy perry song stuck in my head). anyway, i think homegirl's fickle attitude regarding the weather is beginning to translate into my choices of outfit. wool skirt with a crop top? yes, yes i think so.

took a little trip over to my hometown to have dinner with one of my oldest friends, and decided to prowl around for a bit afterward. i forgot what it was like to roam dark, empty streets at night without feeling the slightest premonition that you're about to be robbed at gunpoint, or at least witness a crime of some sort. i miss you, small little town. i'll be back soon!

i found this bewitching little safari inspired thing at the bottom of the bargain bin outside of la france. i managed to dart through the store and into the fitting room quickly enough to avoid getting lost in a sea of gorgeous vintage, and emptying my wallet on dreamy things from bygone decades per the usual. miraculous!
