when it comes to fashion, i'm a big fan of juxtaposition in general. unlikely pairs are just kind of my thing. so, when i saw courtney from cupcake obsessions pairing the hell outta some unlikely thangs in a recent post, i loved it to death. her flouncy, sweet dress/running shoe combo was so visually pleasing to me that it inspired me create one of my own! thanks for inspiring me, doll!

the grunge

me and mr. bones

just having a little evening romp with my sweet and skeletal pal. these insanely sparkly vintage trousers from pink cheetah vintage are probably the most fun thing in the entire universe, and make me want to hightail it to the disco.... but mr. bones prefers staying in with his favorite records and a few cocktails. i agreed this time cause he let me play his accordion!

there's been a mix up

i get a little too excited over clothing sometimes, especially vintage; and styling this vintage lanvin button up for pink cheetah vintage sent me into a miniature frenzy. i mean, a shirt print shirt?!? so good, and so up my alley. since the blouse is so busy, i figured the only thing to do was to mix it with another busy print and take it out for a spin on a gloomy day, right??

the aquarium

i got really excited when i saw this shirt on the rack, and i think it's because i might have had almost the exact same one in 7th grade. ahhh, nostalgia. also, my obsession with clear shoes continues on with this little pair. found them at a thrift store and almost had a happiness heart attack. these days it's extraordinarily hard to find a clear heel that isn't 7 inches tall with a goldfish or dollar bills hangin out inside the platform. i lucked out with my discovery, as these are very cinderella, and slightly reminiscent of the  d'orsay, even, which i've spent many a day pining over.

in the jungle

styling these overwhelmingly awesome jungle print trousers for pink cheetah vintage gave me the perfect opportunity to put to good use this slightly ridiculous in the best way possible tiger tank top. i kinda want to wear this outfit every day... it's got exotic animals mid pounce, and exotic ferns covered in glitter, and that's enough for me.

there's a new web shop in town and i'm super stoked on it! luna market is the brainchild of my good friend, myla, who has been collecting and selling vintage since way back. she also has a super badass line of handcrafted jewelry, vestige by miss m, that she creates using vintage/natural/dead stock materials. when she told me that she had a website of her own in the works, i knew it was destined to be filled with a plethora of unique and bewitching pieces, and, naturally, i was right. she asked me to play mannequin for some of her vintage items, and, lucky for you, i restrained myself buying half of her merchandise before it even hit the invisible internet shelf. i did score this sickeningly lovely fringed sleeve crop top, though! go check out the rest at www.shoplunamarket.com!

the chains of love

after months of internet window drooling, the very fancy leg chain from the chains of love is mine to hang upon my limbs! i have a loose plan to wear this thing underneath/on top of every article of clothing in the world. i'm even more enamored of it than i thought possible, because it goes perfectly with everything, i mean evvverything i've attempted to combine it with.. ratty daisy dukes and tennis shoes, sweet little hi-lo dresses, a leather miniskirt. i'm telling you, this leg chains is the most versatile accessory in the world, maybe the universe. now all i need is the rib cage ring!
